SITE 20/20 PARTNERS WITH WAZE CONNECTED CITIZENS PROGRAM

As of October 1st all Guardian Smart Flaggers deployed on job sites all across North America will now be sending data to Waze. The data sent from turning on the Guardian Smart Flaggers will alert Waze users of where job sites are and provide them with alternative routes to avoid them.

This information will make all job sites safer with fewer headaches and hassles:

  • by knowing what’s ahead
  • reducing traffic flow on job sites
  • giving alternative routes/shortcuts
  • drivers can report accidents, construction, and more for other drivers in real-time
  • increase job-site efficiencies: less traffic+less disruptions = job getting done quicker
  • decrease traffic-related injuries on job sites
  • makes travelling these routes easier on commuters so they can get to where they are going with minimal disruption

About Waze

Waze is where people and technology meet to solve transportation challenges. It’s a platform that empowers communities to contribute road data, edit Waze maps, and carpool to improve the way we move about the world. Thanks to its passionate community, Waze can partner with municipalities and transit authorities to reduce traffic and congestion—leveraging current infrastructure while impacting city planning. They also work closely with tech and automotive brands to reimagine what transportation looks like today.

A world with better transportation doesn’t have to be in the distant future. By harnessing the full power of community to reverse negative trends in transportation now, Waze can create a world where traffic is history.

The Guardian SmartFlagger

Site 20/20 designed and built the Guardian Smartflagger system to address current technical limitations in the traffic control industry, solve onsite resourcing issues, ensure safe work zones, and be the smarter choice.

The Guardian Smart Flagger is a fully integrated, automated flagging device that an operator controls from the safe location of a job site. It takes people out of harm’s way and allows them to see and control traffic through the lens of two HD cameras on the operator’s smart tablet.

We have validated this technology with test users at construction companies, flagging contractors, police departments, fire departments, and municipal and state government officials. Click here to learn more about the Guardian SmartFlagger!
